ferguson95
Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum and to pools in general. I will be purchasing a 20 x 40 in ground pool soon and thought about doing a Baker's Spillway Spa. My husband likes this idea only if we can keep the spa open during winter, while closing the pool. Does anyone know if you can turn the spillway off and just use the spa during winter months while the pool is winterized? Thanks, ferguson95

You should be able to turn the spillover off. You don't want the spa to spill into the pool anyways when you have it running. On our equipment there are two valves that we switch over to shut off flow to the pool and only have the flow going to the spa. This allows us to heat up the spa without heating up the entire pool as would happen if the spillover didn't stop. So only the spa water is being circulated, heated up and pumped back into the spa.
