Jersey
I've been told that if you have an aboveground Dough-boy pool, you can only install a Dough-boy liner. Has anyone else heard this? How can tell for sure if it is a Dough-boy? I searched all around the pool and found one label which has the name Home & Roam. I can't find anything on this company, can anyone offer any suggestions? Thanks.
Trigger
if you have a funky bottom (some doughboys have a deep end). In that case, you may not be able to find a liner that would fit other than from doughboy. If you have a standard sized pool, you should be able to put in any liner. What are the dimensions of your pool? Is the liner an overlap or beaded type?

Jersey
I just found out that the pool is a Home & Roam (which is no longer in business). When inquiring for a liner, I was told that since I have a rust spot on the side of the pool that no way should I replace the liner. The wall should be replaced (talking $1,000+). My question is, this rust spot was treated two years ago and seems fine-the size of the hole was no larger than a quarter. Does anyone know if it is advisable to put a new liner in with a rust spot? Can it be treated or covered somehow? It is an above-ground pool 27 round. Thanks for any help.
Chris H
Rust happens on above ground pools. You can replace the liner, but make sure the installer utilizes a product called polyfoam between the liner and wall. This will protect the liner from little pokes from the wall. Where are you located and who is the dealer that told you that?
