rockryan Posted July 30, 2021 Report Share Posted July 30, 2021 1) I have a Polaris 3900. The photo is the return side of the pool setup. When the Lever is to the right as seen in photo the Polaris runs fine. The return only goes to the booster pump. There are no returns to the pool. 2) When the lever is turned to the vertical (to up in the photo) the return goes to both the heater (and out of the heater to the pool returns) and the booster pump. The Polaris does NOT run very well this way. But I think it is designed to run in this setup. The pool gets its returns and the booster pump is running. I'm just wandering why its so slow when it's set up this way. Maybe I need a stronger pump. its a 3/4HP Polaris PB460 Booster Pump Motor. My pool is about 36ft long. Frustrating 3) When the lever is turned all the way to left the return is thru the heater and then thru the pool returns.
