Folliculitis

Hello,

We have had our hot tub a month. As first time users we confused some instructions for maintenance and I ended up getting hot tub rash. Since then we have shocked the water and cleaned the filter. I also had the company who installed come over and test and re do the chems.

Is there a need to drain the tub? I don't see how any bacteria could live on with multiple shocks, however willing to drain if required.

What type of Folliculitis? There is a bacterial version and a chemical version that looks similar. You may be allergic to one or more of chemicals or are using too much. If the chlorine or bromine levels are fine, it's unlikely to have bacterial buildup. At least in my experience.
