ShawnP
Hi, first time poster. I'm thrown off a bit by the title of "portable" hot tubs and spas of this forum. I assume it's ok to post about a normal non-portable hot tub? I have an Aston A642 spa with a "CMP Pop Check Valve". It's been leaking water and I'm not sure why. There are two in the tub. One on either side and they are in the upper lines that come off the top of jets. My tub has lost a fair amount of water due to a pair of heater junction seals that have gone bad and after I refilled the tub and turned the jets back on this valve started leaking heavily. What exactly does it do? Is it some type of pressure valve because I'm not sure how it would stop any water flow in this T join like this. Everything is glued in place and not sure how I'd replace it?
Peteyboy
That is probably an air intake with a rubber flap that has failed. You can re-plumb it or seal it up with silicone and not have air into the jets.
