kiwi phil
Hi this pump is in an old hotspring portable Spa Motor is nonoperational and just hums...have opened up back of pump to test cap ( no capacitor hump on pump body). I have found the attached component in series with the centrifugal switch. I have never seen a capaitor that looks like this before? It is small ,curved and sits where you would expect the cap to be. Q..Is it a capacitor, and if so what size, so I can replace it? Q..If it isn't a capacitor..what is it? Q If it isn't a capacitor..where will I find the capacitor?,, ( not on the pump body, not remote in the control box) I have added the pics at this link. ( I couldn't get the pics to upload)https://docs.google.com/document/d/1UFq5nt2wosijVKqf20yGngKME8oieOMr52QnYgYYy9E/edit?usp=sharing Thanks for any comments and feedback on this Regards Phil
Hot Spring Official
If your pump is not working it is best to replace the entire pump. Your local dealer would have a new pump that you could have them replace.
