Auntielarrie
I'm looking to buy my first hot tub and have narrowed it down to the Sundance Optima. I've found a used one for $4400 and the current owner says it's 'about' 6 years old. I'm wondering if that's too much for a 6 year old tub and if there's a quick way to tell what year exactly it was made. Thank you! Any tips on checking out the used tub would be helpful too! Dr. Spa
Unless it's in imaculant condition, that's far too much. The serial number should have the date encoded into it.
dg98adams
I have a 25 year old Sundance Cameo. Only thing I have replaced was the cover, pump motor seals and the air blower.... $4400 is high, offer $2500
Auntielarrie
Thanks. He's got it up for $5500, in email he said the lowest he'll take is $4400. We're in Canada too, if that makes a difference....
Auntielarrie
Well, the handles were completely rusted through, the one pump was obviously leaking, the wood inside was moldy from long standing leak issues, the surface was scratched in several places, the stereo didn't work... Basically, just a disaster. Back to the search for a good used optima!
