aaronkr
I have a Hayward H200 Millivolt Heater that was just installed about five days ago and after everything was plumbed in, I had the gas line hooked up. The heater was purchased brand new and when I turn it on and the switch to pilot, it starts leaking gas really bad. I am afraid to use it with the gas leaking and wondering if there may be a defective or faulty part that may need replaced.
DannaPools
Hi, The first thing I would do is contact the person that installed the heater and see if he can figure out what is going on with it. It could be missing an o-ring or could need some teflon tape over some of the treads or it could be something as major as a faulty part. If this is the case, I hope you worked some sort of warranty out with the installer before hand. If all else fails, call a local pool company to come out and take a look. I would call around first to see who has the most experience with heaters before you pay someone to come out and perform service to it. You dont want to waste your money.
