Fruitbat
Hello! I’m looking for some advice regarding dampening vibration noise from my hot tub. We recently purchased a Beachcomber 578 with a hush pump. The hush pump and other circ motor sit outside the tub, on a plastic board, inside the stairs. Both pumps are sitting on rubber mounts. The hot tub is sitting on my deck just outside our master bedroom. The decking is composite and connected directly to the outside wall of our bedroom. The hot tub itself is quiet, even with the hush pump running 24/7… but the sound in the bedroom is much louder than I expected. I suspect it is due to vibration noise passing through the decking, joists, and outside wall. I’m looking for reasonable suggestions for solving this issue. I’m thinking a rubber pad is my first option, but confused by all the different products available. Also considering perhaps I only need to get the motor section under the stairs on top of a rubber mat. Anyone with similar experiences have any advice? Thanks! Joe z
Not a pro at this but I was told a sheet of insulation sheathing from lowes cuts out a lot of vibration.
