bbinsider Posted June 21, 2011 Report Share Posted June 21, 2011 I have an hot tub odor problem that I can't get rid of. Even draining the tub and replacing the filters didn't work. I'm starting to think that "stale" smell is coming from the cover. I would rather not replace the cover unless I have to. I have had hot tubs for over 20 years; however, this is the first one exposed to rain (the others were in a Gazebo). I have never had a problem like this before, any ideas? THE SPA GUY Posted June 21, 2011 Report Share Posted June 21, 2011 if the odor is coming from the under side of the cover exposed to the tub, you can take a chlorine dilutte with water and scrub the under side let sit for a little bit. then rinse off..you might try that...
