Gecko S-Class - No Power

Recommended Posts

Last week I drained my 2001 LA spa with Gecko S-class spa pack. I refilled the tub and powered the system on, only to get a flashing code of "HL" and then the system shut down. Since then I have not been able to get anything to happen with the tub. When I flip the power switch to the tub, I hear a click that the power was sent but nothing happen. My understanding of this code is that the system is reading the water at over 118 degrees. The water at the time of shutdown was around 50 degrees in actuality.

I am a novice when comes to the tub and have had minimal issues in the past. Any suggestions in fixing this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hey Mark,

the HL code on the S-Class pack means High Limit and is associated with the heater being to hot, it has nothing to do with the temperature of the water. Try lowering the temperature to a point where there is no call for heat and then reset the power, you will need to see if there is a red led on the circuit board, they ususally use this as an ididcator of an active HL condition. I would also check and see if that board has a small glass tranformer fuse, it could have blown.

Thanks so much for the advice. I replaced the fuse and released some water that was stuck in the heater after the refill. Everything seems to be working fine as of this morning. I can't thank you enough.
