IrishChris
I have 2000 Sweetwater Bahia spa. The circuit board was replaced about two years ago. For some reason, the controls have locked. The spa circulates and heats but the pumps, light and heat adjustment are locked out. It appears that it has entered the locked mode, but holding the heat up/down buttons together which should allow us to change the mode doesn't do anything. Any idea how to reset the control? Thanks Chris
otis_skywalker
try cleaning the connection between the pc board and the control panel. Power down the spa unplug the panel (its the phone cord lookin one on on upper right hand of board) clean and plug back in. Sometimes this will get it going again. IrishChris
Thanks. I tried cleaning it and it didn't seem to help. I did notice that the pillow between the two halfs of the cover was pushing down on the control. It's a new cover that we've only had for about a month. Do you think it's the control and is it time to call the tech?
johnshenry
I'm having the exact same problem with my '05 Sundance Palermo. I tried holding down the + and - and nothing. Same symptom, keypad dead, but display on a circ pump and heater working. I cycled power several times, unplugged the connection and reconnected it. Oddly, similar to the original poster, I had to replace caps on the circuit board about 2 month ago too. Hate to gamble the $160 for a new control panel without really knowing if that is the problem or not..... Any other suggestions???? mtnpilot
Am having the same problem with 2001 Sweetwater Bahia. Also tried cleaning the control panel plug to no avail. Would like to know if anybody has found the answer yet. Am thinking top control panel or PCB, but talking big $ to try on a guess.
Richie 4560
I have experienced the same problem with the control panel acting as if it does not having any power. The pumps were not running either, so I tested the power at the breakers and at the power supply panel in the tub and all had power. I went to the breaker and switched it on and off quickly several times and checked the control panel to find some life there but still not working just random numbers and glitching. I did this several times and it reset the panel and it is working now. We had recent storms with lightning which may have caused a power surge. Try this before calling a tech, this has happened before and I spent a lot with the repair men and really don't know if by changing parts or resetting the power was there fix.
