I'm in the tub
Hi all. I'm hoping someone can help me. We just bought a home with a 2007 Nahanni spa. I've been in it every night since moving day. Yesterday my husband drained it to clean it and followed the directions to refill it. Once filled we restarted it and about 5 minutes after it turned on we got the error code dr (blockage to heater). My husband removed service panal and drained water from all internal hoses he could see in hopes it was just air. It's still not working. Any thoughts on what might be wrong? I'm dying here without my soak. HELP!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks
Spa God
You are on the right track... air in the pump is the most likely issue... Is there water movement in the spa? Is it possible he knocked one of the shut off valves while he was under there??? the knife style valves can be closed easily by accident. I'm in the tub
Thanks. Some jets are going but not all and the main intake at the filter isn't sucking water down. We had the problem before he opened the service panel. Should I keep trying? Can I wreck anything if we keep turning it on with the error message? tampagrl70
Dirty or old spa filter cartridge will cause that blockage and give you the DR error code. remove the filter cartridge and leave it out. make sure you are powered down for at least 1/2 hr to reset the memory and start up. daily usage should use 2 spa filters a year for the proper coverage per every 1 filter. Also this can happen if your filter cartridge has too much SqFt.
I'm in the tub
Okay I removed the filter and turned it on. Still no suction. Now I have an SNS error and a dr error. Any other ideas? I'm worried. It's suppose to go down to freezing tonight. What should I do? I called a service guy but his office told me he's busy and it'll be several days before an appointment. Should I drain it? Is there something else I can try?
Spa God
Hang a trouble light (one of those lights in a cage) in the equipment area with a 40 watt bulb in it and make sure it is not touching anything so it cant start a fire... you say you have a bit of flow in the system so this will help to keep anything from freezing up. It sounds like you have a balboa system from the error codes you are quoting, and there is either an issue with a temp sensor or a flow issue.
