sandsquid
I've been keeping a *** record over the last few days of my pool. However, whatever I am doing, nothing seems to work. I opened my pool this summer, and my water levels were better than expected. I had a issue with my filter automatically backwashing while it was on filter which resulted in the chemicals being wasted. Once I discovered the backwash issue and resolved it, my pool started growing alge and turned a hint of green. I instanly put in 3lbs of shock for my pool size approx. 12000 gallons. Then the water became cloudy. I am still seeing very small amounts of algea heading towards the skimmer, but I still keep fighting that issue as well as now the cloudy water issue. brian1973
use a quart of algaecide 60% the whole thing do not worry about the ph level or alkalinity till the water is clear then i would add 3 gallons of liquid chlorine to the pool followed by 4 lbs of shock the liquid chlorine will bring the level up high to kill any algaecide but it will come back down overnite if you listen to this you should see a big difference overnite also backwash pool if sandfilter 2 to 3 trimes daily untill pool water is clear then ajust alkalinity level if needed wait 5 hours and ajust ph if needed
kb62591
You certainly do not seem like a newbie to me. I love this forum and the help people are offering one another. Hope I can be of value some day. -Kevin
