mzimm
I've been having a strange issue lately with my Bromine levels going to zero. I typically keep the water at the following TA=60, PH=7.6, CH=180, Temp=102 F, Borates=50, Bromine=2-3 PPM. I don't believe it could be any issue with my ozonator as I'm using the Brilliance Bromine system which should be OK even without an ozonator. I think mine is working correctly but hard to tell. I've noticed this happening just lately if I use the tub the night before both times there was very slight rain - the slightest amount of rain (slight drizzle). Could this cause the sanitizer level to drop to zero? Thanks Mike
quantumchromodynamics
Are you adding an oxidizer after using the tub based on the number of person-hours the tub is used?
mzimm
Are you adding an oxidizer after using the tub based on the number of person-hours the tub is used? I only use an oxidizer about once per week. I'm the only tub user - I use it every day.
quantumchromodynamics
Try adding some MPS or regular, unscented 6 % bleach after using the tub. Test after a few hours, and then test again the next morning. Start with either 3 ounces (Volume) of bleach or 3 teaspoons of MPS per person-hour, and adjust as needed.
