I am going to use nitro's shock method to clean it, however I have a dillema, i need the filter to run the nasty old water through, and the tub did not come with one. I do not want to buy a new filter and ruin immediately by running the old water through it. It there anything I can use as a tempoary filter to shock the tub, or can I do a flush without a filter? Dnepr Dave Posted September 29, 2009 Report Share Posted September 29, 2009 The spa flush stuff I used said right in the instructions to remove the filter. If your spa piping is very dirty, the funk that the flush washes off would clog your filter, if left in place, ruining a good filter.
