bob81
New leisure bay tonga. Quoted me $5,999 for spa, delivery, cover lifter, and startup chemicals. Sound like a good deal? Also they have an extended warrannty for like 600, but leisure bay seems to have a decent base warranty as it is. Should I shell out for the extention? marcswee1974
Dont do it....... Just my opinion. Not a well built tub and if you are dealing with Rec Warehouse, thats another story...
bob81
Ya, it was through rec warehouse. I decided to wait. The tub didn't have an ozonator and I have read some disparaging things. I might end up with a cal spa or maybe limelight/tiger river by hotsprings.
JerimiahR
Of the spas you mentioned that you're looking at, the Limelight/Tiger River/Hot Spring spas are in a completely different category. They're built by a very large, extremely reputable manufacturer, and are much more reliable spas. Ask around, and do some reading online, and you'll find that Hot Spring (made by Watkins Manufacturing) is a very well liked hot tub company. There's 1,000 plus reasons why, so I won't detail everything here. But you'll generally find much better energy efficiency, reliability, and technical support both from your local dealer and the manufacturer. In the end, you'll get what you pay for. Chat with your local Hot Spring dealer and they can show you the many differences between Hot Spring spas, and others. It's well worth doing the research. Peteyboy
I agree with Jeremiah. I've been servicing HotSpring for many years and in my opinion you can't get any better for all the reasons he mentioned. From my service standpoint, I can tell you that I own a 1991 HotSpring Classic and have put about $500 retail into it over the years. imnay
IMO - I agree with other posters. There is a 14 yr old Hot Springs Grandee for sale about 50 miles from where I live and I would buy it in confidence before buying the make spa you mentioned.
