davecreative
Hi all. I have all 2" piping for my pool filtration system. I recently bought a 1.5" extension hose for when I need to rinse and backwash my filter, and I was curious if I used the appropriate PVC fittings and used the 1.5" hose on the 2" PVC drain, would it cause any pressure issues? I didn't think it would, but my dad seems to think it will. Please clarify as I don't want to purchase additional hoses. I made an image so you can see:

quantumchromodynamics
Get a 2-inch hose. A 2-inch hose has 1.78 times more volume capacity than a 1.5-inch hose.
