gcaLuna13
Hi All, What do I do about my tub that seems to run constantly? It's not the primary jets, but the non-jet circulation pump that seems to go all day. Is that normal? Thanks
Dnepr Dave
Yes, that is normal. The circulation pump is a small fractional horsepower pump and doesn't draw much electricity. Dave
gcaLuna13
Thanks Dave. Right after I replaced my heater element, the spa seemed to turn off more often. Now it seems to run longer for some reason. I thought something might be wrong with the heater again causeing it to turn all the time, but maybe it just SEEMS to run all the time. I haven't exactly checked it on an hourly basis. Thanks
hydrospadan
Hi there, I just went through figuring my hot tub out on the cycles. Read all the posts under topic Std Econ Slp modes with the smiley face. Do you have Balboa controller, and what brand of hot tub. Did you just get it used or???? With more details maybe I can be of help if it is similar to mine. Dan
Nick Trollope
Excuse me for jumping in on this thread, but I seem to have a similar problem; Spa with Balboa M7 controller, pump seems to run on low speed all the time. Otherwise it seems to work perfectly, other than the fact that it seems to get air into the pump (no leaks, however). This has (I'm convinced) only started since the thing froze up last winter (it never gets below freezing here - until now - thanks global warming), had he spa since 2004 and the pump has always run on "standard" setting - pump runs when heating or filtering. Pump relay is not "stuck" as I can turn the pump off using the jets button. Any ideas?
