eight-bits
I have a Crystal Waters spa with a SpaBuilders LX-15 controller in it. Recently I have started getting the error -0.4 displaying on the control panel whenever the spa is idle (it actually switches between the current temp, and displaying -0.4). I recently had the pump replaced for another issue and was hoping that this would go away as well, but it has not. Does anyone have any idea what this error code means? I cannot find it anywhere and I am not getting much help from the manufacturer. Thanks in advance,
otis_skywalker
It's been awhile since I worked on any spa builders packs... but, I seem to remember -04 meaning pressure switch closed when should be open. that said it should go away when the pump is on. if it does, replace the pressure switch. cheap easy fix. It does go away when the pump is running, so I guess that is what it is. I am fairly handy, so do you think this is the type of repair that I could do myself, or should I get a service tech in for it? Any tips/articles to do it myself would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thanks The pressure sw. located in the heater manifold, it's the round looking thing about 1.5" tall that threads into the manifold. it has 2 light gauge wires going to it. Close the slice valves going to your equiptment or drain the spa. disconnect 2 wires, unthread, install new one with teflon tape on threads, reconnect wires, open valves/refill...done. Btw, turn the power off to the spa before you work on it.
