Icon Image Spa

I bought a cheap Icon Image spa last year and am unfortunately finding out more and more that I got what I paid for. After a year, most of the jets are falling apart. Has anyone had this issue, and more importantly, do you know where I can find replacement jets?

Thanks for your help.

I don't know the answer to your main question, but I do wonder if you were using Baqua?

It tends to damage certain kinds of plastic, and I have a few brands in our area in which the jets and the light lens literally fall apart after a year with Baqua.

Here is the contact info for Weslo

http://www.iconservice.com/weslo/contact_us.html

We had a Weslo sales rep. try to get our company to carry there spas once. We declined based on quality and the fact that you could get the same spas from Sams Club.

I don't know the brand. It is a Bromine that I buy at Home Depot in a Blue Bottle. I'll look to see if its called Baqua. Icon told me that they had issues with this jet design. The jets that actuall fell apart looked like the plastic was disintegrating and there was a lot of white crusty scale on them. Could some chemical imbalance also have contributed to this?

Thanks for all the info on replacement parts.

Baqua is a non-chlorine, non-bromine product, not available at the big box stores.

If you were using Bromine, you most likely did not hurt anything.

If you were using Chlorine tablets - look on the label for the word "Trichlor" - then you may have contributed.

I do not recommend any tablets in any spas. Not Bromine, not Chlorine. It does damage to pillows and the cover. The damage it does to the cover is invisible in most cases: it breaks down the vapor barrier inside and the cover begins to gain weight.
