Bearman
I have a Jandy Aqualink RS4 "inside the house" control that the SCROLL feature, i.e. date, temp., etc., on the face just went blank. The board inside the housing has a number of PCB# 6473-E stamped on it. (I have power to the "outside" control box and it appears to be operating fine) Is there any thing I should check or do you think I need to replace the board ? Also, this unit is about 8 years old so is there an updated board number that I should install instead of the above number board ? THANKS ! Pool Clown
When I get these calls I usually start inspecting the com cable for mice/ rat chewage. They can chew right thru, disabling the indoor panel. I'd start there.

Being a novice to this but am willing to try to fix, where would I look for this "com cable" (on the outside unit), going into the house, or between the house and outside unit) ? BTW, THANKS for the response !
Pool Clown
Sorry. The com cable (communication cable) connects the indoor panel with the outdoor control center. Usually is run from the equipment to the side of the house in conduit, from there it is either run underneath the house via crawl space(buy a jump suit and knee pads), or if the panel is on an exterior wall it's chased inside the wall up to eye level (4or 5 feet). Good luck and as always, Have fun.
