I'm sure there are plenty of questions on this, but I'm hoping someone can help me out.

We recently opened the pool and am still the progress of vacuuming etc and getting all the leaves out that ended up there thanks to our cover been shot.

We took our water to the store and the ph level came back fine, but it showed no chlorine despite the fact we do have 3" tabs in the filter and I have put some shock in the pool. Maybe I'm not putting enough in?

Anyway, there is still a fair amount of leaves in the pool but I'm working my way there. Will this affect the levels of chlorine in the pool? Does the mass soak up some of the chemicals?

Our pool holds approximately 22,000 gallons. What is the recommended amount of shock I should add?
