jcoalho
Hi, 3 years ago we replastered, retiled, and put new coping stones on our 35+ yr. original Sylvan pool. We live in New York. We are now ready (can afford) to replace the original concrete deck surrounding the pool. The new coping brick stones are approximately 1 inch shorter than the old concrete coping, therefor, the bond beam extends an inch or so beyond the underside of the coping. Now that we want to replace the deck, I want to ensure that the new deck does not interfere with the pool beam but do not want a huge space/expansion joint between the coping and new deck. Any suggestions on how to apply a new deck to meet the coping but not adhere or interfere with the bond beam below?

An experienced contractor will have no problem, dont worry.
