porkweez
We ordered a Caldera Martinique on Saturday, so I'm getting estimates from electricians and pondering whether to do the wiring myself. It's strange how each electrician interprets "the code" differently, so hiring one doesn't guarantee they'll do the job the right way (assuming there's just one right way). I like to learn from others' mistakes. Please share if you've got a horror story, either from self-install or electrician, so the newbies around can learn what not to do. Thanks! I would ascertain the correct info from your authorized Caldera dealer. There spa service department will be of help to you with the electric regs in your area. There is only one way to interpret the code on hot tubs. You can do it yourself just go to your city hall and get with the electrical inspector and he will help you. Good Luck.
