  1. We paid 6950 total, which included delivery, set up, steps, ozonator, chemicals, cover, 2 rubber ducks, and tax. We love our Martinique!
  2. My wife and I bought the Caldera Martinique in June, and we love it! Our dealer is local, within 10 miles of our house, so I don't know about long-distance service. Good luck to you.
  3. I just bought a Caldera Martinique last month for 7000, included cover, chemicals, steps, delivery, etc. It has a lounger and my wife and I are very happy.
  4. Our Caldera Martinique was delivered 8 days ago, and installed on a new concrete patio which is uneven to provide drainage in a particular direction. The installers wanted the tub to be level, so they measured a pressure treated board and cut it the same length as the support bracing built into the bottom of the hot tub. Then they spray painted it black to match the bracing, let it dry, and slid it under the tub. If you look under my hot tub, you can't tell it's shimmed because they went the extra mile to make it match underneath. Now the tub is level. Also, the installer said that little bit of lift will give water a path to run off and keep it dry down there. I know the Caldera manual warns against shimming; but this was the local factory-rep folks, who also provide warranty service, so I believe they know what they're doing. A guy I work with has a Hot Springs, which is shimmed in a similar way, and he's had no problems in the 3 years he's had it. That's my experience, for what it's worth. Good luck to you, whatever you decide.
  5. Ahh, now I understand. Your explanation plus rereading Caldera's site about jet pumps and the circulation pump makes it clear. Thanks!
  6. We've enjoyed using our new Caldera Martinique since Monday. As a new owner, new questions are popping up. I understand that the filter takes care of filtering water before it goes through the pumping & ozonating system. However, I have 3 'drains' in the foootwell that constantly have suction. How is that water being filtered, or does it magically get sucked through the filter somehow? In the Caldera diagram, it doesn't even show circulation from those 3 footwell drains, but I can tell they're working.
  7. Our new Caldera Martinique arrived yesterday. While the crew set everything up, the electrician did his work. Last night at 10pm we took the inaugural soak. It was fantastic. I'm still figuring out water chemistry, and how to operate the buttons and everything; but what a fun education it will be!
  8. We ordered a Caldera Martinique on Saturday, so I'm getting estimates from electricians and pondering whether to do the wiring myself. It's strange how each electrician interprets "the code" differently, so hiring one doesn't guarantee they'll do the job the right way (assuming there's just one right way). I like to learn from others' mistakes. Please share if you've got a horror story, either from self-install or electrician, so the newbies around can learn what not to do. Thanks!
  9. I'm in North Carolina, and just ordered a Caldera Martinique on Saturday for 6495 (+tax). This was a sale price, I think 300 below their normal asking price. The deal includes delivery, setup, steps, chemicals, cover, ozonator, GFCI box, and 2 rubber duckies.
