  1. I have a 2006 Caldera Martinique and when I put it in summer mode the "temp" flashes. If I take it off of the summer mode it stops. I have tried cleaning the filter and adding water but it still does it in summer mode. I called the salesman and he couldn't give me an answer and the tech was out for the day. Sales guy said he thinks it could be because the temp of the H2O is greater than the temperature reading. Is this right? Can anyone help? And will it hurt to continue to run it in summer mode if it is flashing? Thanks and Peace out!
  2. I use a re-agent test kit for my testing and after use my pH is always above 8.0. Is using pH stabalizer an effective way of handling this? I am worried that if I drop the CH below the recommended ppm to use the pH stabalizer it could have adverse affects.
  3. After each use of my tub of course I have to add dichlor, but also my pH reads 8 or above so I have to add pH down and in turn I have to add TA up because of the chemical I am adding to lower my pH. I run my CH around 180-200. Is there anything I can do to lower the chemical usage? Is this normal for the pH to shoot up after each use? After I do threatment my water stays pretty much dead on until the next time I use it. I am wondering about a pH lock but you cannot use it if CH is 150 ot above. If you drop your CH to use this doesn't it increase your chances of scale or deposits on the heating element?
  4. What is everyones opinion on MPS treatment with dichlor shocking?
  5. Hey dumb a$$, Already talked to Caldera and there is a service tech in the area and the manufacturer will warranty any service and parts. Yeah puddin head, I thought it through. Some people can't take it when others get a deal. What kind of tub do you have loser?
  6. Please get rid of Jim_the_jim, I am tired of him trying to sell his junk on here!
  7. Jim, no one in here values your opinion....get lost!
  8. Jim, doesn't seem like your opinions in this forum are valued. Every time you give advice someone corrects you. hhmmmmmm
  9. Retail is about $7295.00 I was quoted at 3 other dealers for $6800.00 to $6995.00 Would you like the phone number so you can call the dealer and ask him why he's closing one of his stores? Actually I think he is moving his store location to another city. Thats beside the point... I am getting it for over $2000.00 cheaper than the 3 other dealers that I talked to. And as for as the warranty goes, Caldera has one of the most reputal warranties and service record. If I need to pay a sub-contractor $150.00- $200.00 to save $2000.00 so be it...You do the math. I should have know you were going to comment. Jim you are like herpes....just can't get rid of em'. Are you still selling Morgan spas?
  10. Already talked to Watkins the manufator about it. They said it's not a problem, they sub-contract people to work on tubs all the time for people that buy from out of area dealers. Even if I have to pay a few dollars for labor, the savings are worth it. Plus the dealer that I am buying it has a HS store closer to my house that can help with tech support.
  11. Getting the Caldera Martinique 06' model. for $4495.00. Adding Monarch CD Ozone for $250.00. I stumbled on a Caldera buiseness that was closing his doors. So now we get an idea of the mark up on these things.
  12. Any suggestions on what chemicals to use. Getting ready to get a Caldera and I know the salesman is going to try to sell me their chemicals, but should I and could I get everything I need online for less $$$ What do I need to buy? I don't know nothin' about nothin'!!!! HELP!
  13. Jim_the_Jim...... Go toHell!! Is there an ignore button on this site? This guy really bothers me! I think I've seen his picture on the national sexual predators web site.
  14. I am interested in the Martinique and there are no Caldera dealers in my town. I have found 5 dealers but all of them are in the 200-250 mile range. I am thinking of purchasing the Martinique but I talked to the manufacture and they told me that the dealer is responsible for any warranty work on the tub. Talking to the dealers and they are telling me it is too far to make a service run. Do people buy from out of area dealers often and what do you do about service? Second question: One of the dealers that I talked to is closing his doors and is making me a killer offer, is this a wise choice? I feel like I will have no support at all if I go this route, I can atleast call and get support over the phone with a dealer 250 miles away.
