Want To Buy A Hot Tub!

Recommended Posts

I live in North Texas and have looked at spas at two different dealers.

I was quoted a Hot Springs Soverign (not the Classic) for $8850.00 list $10,875.00

includes delivery, setup, Cover, Cover Cradle, steps, some chemicals, GFCI box.

I was quoted a Caldera Martinique with similar options for $6800.00 list $10,269.00

I have no idea if these prices are reasonable or not since both are priced under

the supposed "List Price".

Any comments would be appreciated.

Boy these spas better have all the bells and chimes for those prices, and be a 7 person spa. I think you could do better elsewhere.

that price is not bad. I dont think there is much leeway in the prices suppliers can charge really. But thats not too bad. I dont know about the caldera because i didnt look at them. My tub was $9299 new without tax and ozone and steps etc etc. Camee out to be $10,400, btu i got a 900$ write off for medical reasons. I bought a Hot springs Vista, the big boy, the one with waterfall and lounger, ozone, pearl in color, etc etc. Only thing i didnt get was a radio in it.

Its a nice piece! I only used it for 6mnths and its sitting in my garage. I put it in the paper last week. I have to sell it cause im graduating college. But i so dont want to part with it. The best tub on the market. The sovergn is its lil sister. GReat tub, get the ozonator!

I'm in the same tub as you are, and would appreciate any and all advice!

I'm in North Carolina, and just ordered a Caldera Martinique on Saturday for 6495 (+tax). This was a sale price, I think 300 below their normal asking price. The deal includes delivery, setup, steps, chemicals, cover, ozonator, GFCI box, and 2 rubber duckies.

:)

Does Watkins MFG only allow one dealer in a given area?

Where can I get a list of Hot Spring and Caldera dealers?

The web sites for them only list one dealer in my area zip codes.

Having only one dealer to work with does not give me a good feeling.

Searching through the old threads I see HS Soverign quoted between

$6300.00 and $7895.00 from Nov 2005 to April 2006.

Thats a big difference from the $8850.00 I was quoted.

Could some of you dealers and sales people comment on this pricing?

Thanks.
