Good evening, I'm having a major problem with my free chlorine and wanted to come here before I give up and drain the thing. I've had this hot tub for about 2 months now and I was able to easily get my water chemistry all set. History: I am using the Frog system which is built into my hot springs. I tossed in some chlorine before taking a week vacation last week and now I'm home but can't seem to level it out. I noticed that Frog had emptied at some point during vacation and there was a slight BO smell to the water, but was clear and I did not see any buildup on the walls. I first n
Hi all, first time poster. So I had a hot tub growing up, but never really took part in the maintenance being a kid (although drainage and scrubbing was all on me 👌). That led to me wanting one again as an adult. I don't have a lot of room and I rent, so I found an mspa b141 "4 person" hot tub. Ok all you hot tub heros, I'm a first time hot tub owner and we've had our 2013 Hot Springs Vanguard since sept. 18, 2014. Several weeks into it they recommended that we have the ozonator disconnected, which we did. They just disconnected (not plugged off) the line and we are still having trouble with the free chlorine. We are using the tub twice a day 7 days a week for 20 mins in the evening and 15 mins in the morning. All other chems are within range, ozonat
New pool owner... small 5,000 gallon above ground pool. Today's test redings... I didn't think it was possible for my free chlorine to be higher than my total chlorine. . It's been reading like this for over a week now! Yesterday, I replaced my filter and backwashed some of the water out and refilled it with fresh water to hopefully bring down the levels some but obviously it didn't work. The pool stays uncovered and I've
