  1. Shsssssh don't let the government know there's a spa industry, next thing you know there will be a hydrotherapy tax.
  2. That's a pretty high bill for the middle of summer, which means the spa is probably not insulated, you may be able to do that yourself. a spa will heat up, depending on the kw heater at about 4 degrees + or - an hour.
  3. Well it's never going to land on yours with that attitude.
  4. If you want a copy of Master Spas warranty, all you have to do is go online and download it. And Kreg, you are right, it is a good warranty, it just did'nt make my top 3. I take it you are a Master spa guy or consumer.
  5. Grhamtasia is a little miffed that costco is selling a watkins product, he does'nt see the silver lining of this whole venture. As a sales person, he should be glad that Watkins has taken the initiative to grab that corner of the market. What it means for him is more recognition and awareness of his product. The chance to educate new spa owners on maintaining their new toy, which would result in more referals and sales .
  6. I've never said that Hotspring spas are the best, there is no best spa, the best spa is the one that's right for you. I'm here to help people however I can with the limited knowledge I have. I am not self promoting, but I am proud of the product I sell. As far as the sales training thing goes, I was just sharing something I came across in a magazine, which after re-reading it, I see that it was not Coleman spas, but a Hotspring dealer called Coleman. Who says Watkins has the best sales training, I do! Unfortunaltely not all Hotspring sales people choose to do it, but if they did there would be a lot more happy consumers out there, because they train you to shut up and listen to peoples needs and concerns. And guess what, when you do that the product does speak for itself.
  7. They did'nt make my top 3. Just my opinion.
  8. Instead of a steel walled vinyl pool look into a polymer wall, then you don't have to worry about corrosion.
  9. This is a complete mess, you have my sympathy.
  10. I think this post is now dead, hopefully.
  11. I think HotSprings, Marquis and Sundance have some of the best warranties in the business, although no warranty is good if you have a lousy dealer.
  12. The Grandee is one of my favourite spas, you'll love it, congratulations.
  13. You mean you don't go out to the customers house and do an orientation.
  14. Are you sure it's only a little.
  15. I was hoping some marquis tech was going to come in with your answer, but grahamtasia is somewhat correct, most suction fittings have valves that restrict the flow so more water is being filtered, then as your filters get dirty those valves open up drawing more water in and by-passing the filters. That's why Hotsprings makes such a deal about their filter system, because it is a no-bypass system, it has no intakes.
  16. Good advice, a lot of sales people I know, just like the sound of their own voice.
  17. Unfortunately not all Hotspring sales people have attended the classes, so there are still some gumbas out there.
  18. Watkins, makers of the HotSpring Spa, have the best sales training program in the nation, so it was amusing to me to see an ad in a pool & spa magazine that was looking for sales people to sell Coleman Spas. It stated, "Watkins professional sales training prefered."
  19. Your'e missing the point. You should thank your lucky stars that you did'nt buy online.
  20. Yes the beat goes on, and still those customers who have bought on line or from box stores still keep coming through my door asking for help, because, no-one will service their spa, they don't know how to take care of it, some idiot hooked it up wrong, the cabinet is falling apart, the shell has a blister in it, the seats are uncomfortable, the jets are too powerful or not powerful enough. There's a lot to be said for a wet test before you buy. I deal with these unfortunate people on a daily basis, I am not making this up, I have had people in tears in my store.
  21. They probably do not have a brochure, just a fact sheet.
  22. Yes, I agree, Grahamtasia, you seem a little negative, every cloud has a silver linning.
