  1. A spa with seven ugly holes in it?? Totally unacceptable! Why would they even think that they don't have to replace the skirt? A $25 coupon? Let's see, that might buy you one bottle of chemical. I would think a $75 coupon is more in order. What is your time worth for filling the tub? Also, they most certainly should pay for the repairs on your irrigation system. I work for a roofing company, and our employees occasionally ruin or break something of the homeowner's. We ALWAYS have it replaced or repaired, totally at our expense. It wouldn't happen any other way! Word of mouth can be your best advertising tool, or your worst!
  2. Hi. I have read many of the threads over the past couple of months and not once have I heard anyone mention Islander spas. Has anyone heard of them, or had any experience with them? I believe they are made in California. We purchased one about a year ago in Fargo ND, for use in ND. Are they any good? Any info you can give me will be much appreciated!
  3. We had the same problem with our spa turning orange. I bet I dumped in a total of 5 or 6 bottles of Metal Gon, with no luck. Our spa dealer sent us a product called GLB Stain Magnet, and it worked great. It says it is also for pools. Good luck!!
  4. We had to wait about 6 weeks for our tub. We live in ND, and ordered ours last year from a dealer in Fargo. He said the brand we bought, Islander, is built in California. We ordered it in February, and didn't really need it quickly anyway, since we were installing it on our deck. We needed the snow to be gone first in order for the electrician to do his work, etc. But don't get me started on Slumberland - I have had more excuses from that store when I've ordered furniture than you can imagine. I am finally writing them off! Sorry to get off the subject.
  5. Hi. We use Pool Season Chlorinating Concentrate in granular form. I would like to find a similar product that I can buy online, because as I said before, our spa dealer charges so much for it. What do you use? And thanks for the Ph stabilizer tip. It would be nice not to have to always mess with the levels. Does that also take care of the alkalinity levels? I really don't know much about those things, I just do what they told me and go by what the test strip reads. Thanks!
  6. Oh, one more thing. I no longer buy my EZ Spa from the same place that we bought our spa. They charge an arm and a leg for it. I order it from www.suntropic.com - it's way cheaper and if you order two bottles, it's even cheaper. Plus, on an order over $50, the shipping is free.
  7. We have used EZ Spa for a year, ever since we bought our spa. We don't have any problems with it. I have thought about trying something else, but like the other poster said, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." One thing about it is, we still need to use alk. up, ph up, and ph down. I thought EZ Spa was supposed to handle that, but I guess I was wrong. I do wish it would make the water feel silkier. Does anyone know of a product that will do that, that's compatible with EZ Spa? We also use chlorine for a sanitizer.
