  1. We used to have a fiberglass pool and loved it. We are moving and some of the houses we like have pools but they have vinyl liners. I have heard many stories about these liners tearing etc. My main concern is that we have dogs that love swimming - never had an issue witht he fiberglass .. Would vinyl liner stand up?/
  2. We currently have a San Juan white pool which we love but are moving to Corpus Christi. Are there any recommendations on a brand (Viking, Leisure, Royal) and installer to use? Our pool was installed perfectly and have had no problems and would like that again. Also we are not sure if we should stick with white. We love the blue color but will be furious if it fades! Which of course the dealers all say no - what is the reality? Any recommendations on dealers for that part of the country? Thanks
  3. I have taken a sample they have NO idea TDS 0 CYA 40 pH 7.5 alk 141 The store is the one who has been testing my chlorine - they don't know why we cant keep it
  4. We can't keep our chlorine. It doesn't get combined but keeps going to 0 free and 0 combined. All our other numbers are in line. We double shocked and by am both free and combined were 7.6 By 2:30pm our numbers both dropped to 4.2 and tonight we are almost at 0! Are automatic chlorinator is also turned ALL the way up and we have 3 sticks int the skimmer basket. What is going on?
  5. we have lowered our ph and alk - all our numbers "read" good. We have done the Shock and Banish treatment twice and the mustard algae goes away, the water looks great but then 1-2 days later it comes back! Why wont it say away. what can we do?
  6. FREE 1.8 TOT 1.8 cya? aLK 197 tds 600 TOTAL HARDNESS 270 AND PH 7.8 tHEY TOLD ME NOT TO FOCUS ON THESE UNTIL WE GET THE MUSTARD aLGAE OUT. WE DID THE BANISH ON fRIDAY AND FOLLOWED EVERY STEP IT LOOKED GREAT LASTNIGHT BUT IT WAS BACK THIS MORNING!
  7. we have yellowish stains all over our fiberglass pool. a few were there last year when we got the pool - now we have tons! The pools store tells us it is metals - but we have used 3 different types of metal out and NONE have worked. Thanks
  8. I do have an automatic chlorinator - they had bee turn it down to 1
  9. 3 weeks ago our pool turned cloudy - our pool store told us to keep draining and filling because we had no free chlorine only combined. We fianlly got our total and combined to 0 - they then had us do a double shock. Our water looked great for 2 days - our water is balanced and we have free chlorine. However as of lastnight there is all this yellow algae stuff in the filter sock. I also vaccumed lastnight and all this stuff like looks like dirt is all over the bottom again this morning! Our water is clear but there is all this algae stuff. How can this ahappen after 3 weeks of getting our pool back to normal? How can it be clear but have algae? How do I get rid of it?
  10. we have a fiberglass pool less than a year old and we are losing water 6-8 inches (falling below skimmer) about every day to day and half. They came out to check for a leak and we don't have one - what could be causing us to loose our water?
  11. First of all my spa is covered - but most importantly this was a new fill with brandnew water. So how could my ;evels of anything be too high? The on;y thing that was put into the water was Eco One at this point on the first 24 hrs of filling the spa. Any other ideas on what it could be?
  12. Everyone has told me that ECO ONE and dichlor is the best - but I keep getting a scum line. Just this weekend I completely emptied, cleaned, refilled with water and brand new filter. I put in the Eco One and by morning I had light brown floaties and a scum line with the broen particles. I have taken the filter out 3 x and cleaned it but the stuff is still in the water. Any Ideas on what it is and how to get rid of it? Thanks
  13. I thought you could use EcoOne and dichlor alone - you ndid not need to add any copper! I use to use rainforest blue and my water turned greenish and cloudy. Since I stopped using it I don't have a problem with my water. My water looks and smells clean - it just my new filter looks sooo old only after 6 weeks of use!
  14. I used to use EcoOne and Rainforest Blue but I had lots of problems with my water. I dropped the Rainforest Blue and switched to EcoOne and Dichlor only. My water looks great - HOWEVER - my filter looks worn out and gross. When I started these two products I drained , cleaned and refilled spa and bought a brandnew filter. Six weeks later my filter is dingy brown/yellow on the outside with sections of the filter clupmed together and all kinds of goo and gross stuff stuck in the sections. I don't understand - my water finally looks good but my new filter looks YEARS old??? Is it from the products or what is going on? Please Help!
  15. So you suggest using clearwater blue or rainforest blue and just adding chlorine too?
