Stopped into an LA spas dealer and had a look around. When doing a quick search on their tubs on this forum not much seems to come up. What can you guys tell me about them. How do they compare to the other tier 1 brands? There's a couple of models that caught my eye, the madeira for $11k and the fiji for about $7500. Thoughts? Scubes

I'm considering purchasing a 2-3 yr old Jacuzzi j470. I'm just wondering if anyone could tell me the difference if any between the new generation and older models? I know that the stereo is different but that is not a major concern. I would pass on the stereo on the new one anyways and just do my own, but is there any major difference between the filtration or quality of the control system, etc? Thanks. Scubes

Firemedic and Ruckus, that price you were quoted on the optima did that include taxes or was that extra? I am in a toss up between the optima and the j470. If the optima is only going to be $1000 less than the jacuzzi then I think i will go with the 470 hands down. I'll have to go back to the post but did that also include stereo? Scubes

Hi all, in the process of building a new home and am looking for any input or feedback regarding the Jacuzzi j470, j365, or sundance optima and what would be considered a good deal in canadian $$'s. Jacuzzi of Calgary i believe is quoting about $14,500 all in for the J470 which is my first choice, just not sure I want to spend that kind of dough. A friend of mine walked into a store about 6 yrs ago and dropped 10k in cash on the counter and walked out with a fully loaded sundance optima with all the bells and whistles including tax and delivery. Never asked if he got a receipt, but he has received full service and warranty from his dealer. Any thoughts or feedback would be great along with what people have been paying for their tubs. Scubes

Would you mind sharing what you paid for your cameo? I am current looking at spas and can't decide wether to go with sundance or Jacuzzi. I have a friend that bought an optima fully loaded with all bells and whistles about 6 yrs ago including stereo and paid 10k in cash including gst and delivery. He referred me to the same sales guy but am being offered a much higher price and I'm not sure I trust the sales guy. I live in Calgary, Canada and am trying to get a feel of what is a fair price for the optima. What city are you in?
