  1. Here in Cyprus they reckon concrete foam is thing. Any views?
  2. What knowledge does anyone have on slimebag filters? http://www.cleanerpools.net/index.html
  3. Over here in Cyprus we are having a severe freshwater shortage so I was wondering if anyone has any experience/knowledge of using seawater in a pool. I know you can use seawater in a pool near the sea and just pump it in and let it pour back out, no chemicals, but what about in a "regular" pool inland? OK, I take onboard the corrosion issue, but apart from that, whats to stop us?
  4. What did you change your sand with? Did you use fine and coarse sand?
  5. I have sometimes seen leaks behind the tiles that look like this.
  6. What do they do about salinity rising too high with evaporation? Do you dilute it with fresh water now and again?
  7. Here in Cyprus we are suffering from severe drought and the government is starting to tax pool owners. We feel there may be some mileage in seawater pools. It is plentiful and free. We have had some chlorinators made up for us that operate up to 45,000ppm salinity and are looking forward to trialing them. Has this been tried outside Australia, and what do others think of this idea? Vaughan Williams Octopus Pools Kyrenia Cyprus
  8. We have just trialed an Aligator silver/copper oxide system that requires less than 1ppm chlorine to act as an oxidizer and the customer is extremely pleased. Pool steps are reported as feeling less slippery and tiled areas prone to some algae formation are now completely clear. As far as alergies are concerned the lady of the house reports that she needs very little skin care product after a swim, far less than she did when the pool was a standard chlorine pool at 3ppm. www.aligatorswimmingpools.co.uk Is this the way to go with "fresh water" pools? 9. SWG's are the way to go. Never too much, never too little chlorine. Softer water. Saline solution that is kind to skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis. We started selling SWG's about a year ago, and our customers genuinelly rave about them, not only to us but also their friends and neighbours. Our SWG's are now starting to sell themselves.
