  1. I am doing the decontamination process but I don't want to drain the water and refill right now (highs in the teens for the next few days) will it be a problem to just do the 50ppm chlorine and just wait for it to drop to usable levels and start using it again?
  2. We have the same tub but not that condition. Those jets seem produce a pretty decent output, not much compared to the other jets in that seat, but plenty more than a trickle. We get a fairly high frequency pulsation from them, but you must be pretty close to them as the effect dissipates pretty quickly as you move away.
  3. If you were building a bridge abutment or pier, the state of Iowa will allow you to put concrete into compression (which you are) as soon as it would not mar the surface. Putting a flexural load on it is a different story.
  4. I have a new tub and a couple questions. With the jest off, I have noticed that bubbles form on the tub sides and on the occupants (legs arms etc.) I don't recall that this happened initially, but it does now. We have an Ozonator but the bubbles form on people sitting in any position. Is this normal or do I have something going on? Also, when the jets are operating the water gets very cloudy, with micro bubbles it appears, that slowly dissipate when the jets shut off, perhaps this is all normal, this is my first spa and these things may have been occurring from the beginning. Thanks for any insight.
  5. Looks like we have some axe men here.... Ball bearings. Love it. Fletch. Best Chevy Chase movie ever. Best movie ever!
  6. I missed the 2002 part, I don't know if they are the same or not. I will try to get a picture if you can wait till the weekend, it's raining for the next couple days.
  7. I just got an Optima (one week ago) do the 60 AMP, now that I say that I realize I don't know where you live. I'm in Iowa and for a couple days we had it set on the 50A setting, in half an hour with both pumps running we could lose a couple degrees, and it was only in the 40's. You can easily change the setting yourself. Take off the outer panel and the control panel cover (turn off the power first) the jumpers are in the upper left corner. Place the jumper on both pins of #7 (you may need to use needle nose pliers) and you are done. Reassemble and off you go - no need for a technician, if you are not convinced, have your electrician do it when they hook it up - if you are doing the wiring yourself there is NO reason you shouldn't move the jumper.
  8. What's the manufacture year of your spa? There might be a page in the manual, toward the back, that shows details for jumper settings on the PC Board. On the 09 it's jumper #7
