  2. Hey Jeff, Yes the softscub isd great for stains on the Ultralife shell, it is one of the most durable shells available. If you want to give us a call in our Tech Support Department, call (800) 345-7727 and we can make other suggestions if the softscub is unsucceful. If it is unsuccessful, it could be caused by iron and heavy mineral damage, but this is still manageable. D1Dennis2009
  3. Hey congrats on the Nautilus, there are a couple things that can be causing this error. It means that the water flow through the heater is not sufficient, could be the old filters are clogged and not allowing for good flow. I would pull ou the filter with the Ultapure lid and run it without the filter, you will need to reset the power to clear this error. If you need have additional questions, call our Technical Support Team at (800) 345-7727 and they will be glad to walk you through some things to help get it going again.   5. If you were told 10 and 5 lb, someone who is talking to you is an idiot, the correct numbers are 1.0 and 0.5. As a repairman, I can tell you .5 lb foam is a tenth the price to cut thru to make a repair when you are out of warranty. Go for the Marquis, the Euphoria is spectacular spa. Guru, Can you provide the data for your claim? I would really like to see your "Facts" and see if they add up, because a leak in the foam is handled the same and generally take anymore time.
  6. I've read the warranty info. What part do you find problematic? As I understand it, the shell is covered for 7 years in place, but after 7 years the owner would have to ship the spa back to the factory - (in San Diego, CA I think?). I'm guessing most people would never pay to have it shipped to the factory, so that part of the warranty is a bit useless. Any other warranty issues you'd point out? I would guess this applies to most spa manufacturers. Are D1 parts "more proprietary" than other spas besides Hot Springs? Just checked. A+ rating and I know some of the management there personally. Hopefully that would help if I ran into problems. Thanks much for the feedback! Hey Spiffydave, I have worked for D1 Spas for several years in both Dealer Support and Technical Support; I would put our warranty against any manufacturer in the industry! The Amore bay is an awesome spa, and it comes with 5 year plumbing and equipment warranty that cover parts and labor. D1 doesn't mess around, we have been in business over 30 years and we stake our reputation on our product and warranties. The Amore Bay has been one of our best selling spas for a reason, it is a quality product and it looks beautiful in any environment. The price you have been given is very reasonable, I would ask them if it includes the lifter. If the dealer has an A+ Rating with the BBB, that says a lot and I would ask how long they have been in business. I would talk with the dealer and definitely see if there is any room for bargaining, and ask them if you could wet test the unit.   7. Hey Packfan, I would suggest you talk with the dealer and see if he could sharpen his pencil, even though he isn't making a killing at that price. The answer is yes, the spa is worth and extra thousand dollars, but should you try to negotiate a cost break? For sure, he may be willing to wor something out if asked. I would look at the warranties an wet test the unit, I'm sure you will notice the difference in the sound, when its right outside your window at 6am.   8. Where are you located, maybe I can point you in the right direction. I am located near Bay City Michigan but I can not find a dealer that actually has one in their showroom where I can go and physically see it or try it out before I purchase. Do you know place or anyone that has one? These are not our top sellers, simply because they are basically an intimate 2 person spa. But I will tell you, it has a great following in Europe and it is great for a couple.   12. Hey Mark, the HL code on the S-Class pack means High Limit and is associated with the heater being to hot, it has nothing to do with the temperature of the water. Try lowering the temperature to a point where there is no call for heat and then reset the power, you will need to see if there is a red led on the circuit board, they ususally use this as an ididcator of an active HL condition. I would also check and see if that board has a small glass tranformer fuse, it could have blown.
  13. Hey Showem, The Reflection line of spas by D1 come with Ultra Pure Water Management System, this system is very helpful reducing the amount of chemicals used for normal maintenance. Our spas also use one 75 Sqf filter for 24 hour filtration, heating and ozone injection. The second 75sqf filter is used on during the normal (user selected) filter cycle times, this feature can be configure to suite your usage. The pair of filters retail at roughly $100 + or - and you can get about 2 years out of them with regular maintenance, I would recommend having 2 sets of filters and rotating at every water change. Hello Caccon, I know you are asking for feedback from owners of swim spas that are 5-10 years, but we have only been making the swim units since 2002 and there have been alot of changes in that time. The newest version are the much differnt and far superior to anything else we have done in the past. The equipment is off the shelf available and is the same equipment we use in out Bay Collection spas, the shell has a limited lifetime (5 yrs/field) warranty and we have very few issue with these shells. The swim units are very well designed and can stand up to any environment, the UK is nowhere near the type of weather they experience in Northern Canada and those spa do well in that environment. I think you will find lots of people lots of people who will attest to the quality of the D1 Products.   17. If the pump work in the receptacle for the working pump, it could be a relay or a fuse. i'm not real familiar with this particular system, but they are all very similar for the most part. I would try engaging the pump from the topside and check for voltage to the pump, if no voltage is present you could be looking at the pump relay or the fuse.

  19. Hello SHOWEM, The main and pretty much only difference between the Diplomat and the Chairman, is the Massage Sequencer Control on the Chairman. This system allows for 6 programmable hydrotherapy massages, it is a really cool system. The Diplomat and Chairman both have the Ultrapure Water management System and both have option for the LFX lighting package. They are both very solid spas and you should wet test them both, the parts and the warranties are exactly the same. Let me know if you need and additional details or if there is anything else help with, you cant go wrong with either of these spas. Is there a better time of the year to buy a tub? What is the price difference between the 2 along with adding the LFX package? Thanks The Chairman is the spa that has our patented Dynamic Massage Sequencer, the Diplomat does not have the DMS system. Pricing varies depending on the area you live and the time of year, typically dealers will lower prices in the fall and get ready for new model years.   25. I tryed the diverter it shut or opens volcano jet. The sequencer perimeter lights up but does not work. I tryed all the buttons masanori, Please call our Technical Support Deaprtment and talk with one of our Techs about this issue. This could be something simple like a blown fuse or the pump may have even came unplugged somehow. You can reach our technical support team at (800) 345-7727 M-F 7:30am to 4pm PST.
