  1. Hey, we did solve this problem. It ended up one of the relays were sticking. We opened up the box to the circuit board and looked at the 3 relays for the jets. When we would press jet #1 we would here a click but the relay would only move a little. We got a toothpick and pried open the relay and it has been working correctly ever since. There is a High and Low relay for Jet # 1 for us. High would not kick in until Low was working properly. Hope this helps.
  2. Our hot tub has been out of commission since July '11 because of a leaky hose to a jet housing. We got that fixed on Wednesday and filled the tub up to test it out. It seems the leak is fixed but when we turn the power to the tub on (flip the breaker) the jets start running as usual but then they don't switch off. We tried waiting an hour to see if it just needed longer to start because of the long downtime but it would not turn off without us flipping the breaker again. This is a 1995 Dimension 1 Diplomat model. It has a 20 minute per 24 hour period filtration cycle with no ability to change the cycle length. There are no FLO errors and it appears to heat up. Usually during the filtration cycle we can press the jet button and interrupt the cycle to turn the jets off. The display shows that it realizes that we are pressing the jet button (icon lights up) but the jets do not respond. This is the Jet 1 button. Jet 2 will turn on and off with no problem. Is this a stuck relay? Is this something we can fix ourselves or do we need a new board? Thanks!
  3. I'm sure we could tackle it. We are pretty handy and have done all the repairs on the tub so far. The problem is that the water line is so old and encrusted in foam that it is rock hard. We're not sure if it is the water line, connection, or the jet housing that is causing the actual leaking. If we had a walk through on what to do we might feel more confident tackling it ourselves. It just does not look like a fun job.
  4. I am bumping this - New question So we replaced the wall fitting and everything and that caused us to see the true leak more clearly, it is in the connection of the hose going to the jet housing. We had a Spa guy come over to look at it and he was going to work on it but now he is MIA and won't respond to calls or texts. Can anyone recommend a good spa repair company in the MD, DC, VA region? I don't want to be charged an arm and a leg but this fix does not look like something we want to tackle ourselves. We're finding it hard to get a reliable company.
  5. Thanks alot for the detailed description. We plan on working on it this weekend! Thanks again!
  6. Alright, so we tore off the slats and immediately there was water coming out. You guys were not kidding when you said that was a big leak. We dug out the foam until we reached the jet and are almost certain the jet is leaking. Since the whole jet is covered with glue, I can't figure out how to remove or retighten it. The white/clear gasket on the outside of the jet is loose enough to put a small finger through almost (No we did not pry this out or damage it with our digging). But when we put the jet under pressure there was no discernable leak. Can someone please provide instructions for how to R&R this thing? I can not see a threaded fitting or anything. I assume there should be a threaded sleeve on the back but I am not seeing it. Thanks!
  7. Is there a trick to pulling off the slats? Would leak stopper be a waste of time? Thanks
  8. I have a 1995 Dimension One Diplomat that is indoors with a room/addition built around it. I am not the original owner/builder, like the screen name says, the hot tub came with the house we bought 4 years ago. I have noticed some wet spots on the wood case, fairly even with the location of jets. This is not condensation from the cover as the spots are only wet in that area. Am I correct that these are probably jets that need tightening? As you can see there are stairs that lead up to a elevated floor on two sides of the hottub. More than half of the tub is covered by this floor. With the tub built in place as it is, can someone please recommend a solution for me? Do I cut the wood side trim off and try to replace it with an access panel? Do I try leak-stopper knowing the problem is likely the jets and not the tub itself? Thoughts? Thanks
  9. Dennis, Thanks so much for taking the time to talk to me. I put the hose in the filter area where the diffuser bulb is and flipped the breaker to the spa. After some time there was clicking and the FLO1 went away and the little thermometer icon showed up on the display. Looks like the air pump stopped working. Thanks again for saving us alot of time replacing "suspected" parts.
  10. As my username says, we're another couple who inherited a hot tub with the purchase of our house. It is a Dimension One Diplomat from 1995. It is located inside the house in an addition. We've had no problems over the last 4 years except the occasional FLO1 error which just meant we needed to clean the filters or the diffuser bulb. About a month ago we notice a strange humming from the hot tub (we don't use it very frequently) and opened half the cover and see the FLO1 error is back. When we took the other half of the cover off we were surprised at an ant colony which had made a nest on top of the piece that covers the filters. There were thousands of ants with their eggs and everything. After we used a can of RAID and cleaned it all up we emptied the hot tub, cleaned it, and replace all the filters. The problem is now that the FLO1 error is still there. The jets and everything seem to work fine. I think the heater works fine but the flow switch is preventing it from switching on. I've read that this could be the Flow sensor switch acting up. A few questions: 1) How do we test if the flow switch is bad? Can someone explain continuity testing with a multimeter? 2) Do you think the ants are related? Could they be clogging the pipes somewhere unseen? If so, can we use a purge product like the swirl stuff? 3) If we need a new Flow switch does anyone know where we can get one for a '95? I can find them for 2001 and up models but not as old as 95.
