  1. The user by the name of "Wavetec sucks" didn't work for wavetec. I mean, he might have sold WT pools, but he didn't actually work AT wave tec. I think he just wants everyone to know that WTP owes him 4k, which they probably do. But I tell ya, I'm looking at your pool, and it looks like you might have some issues with that wall on the right......oh, and your deck is poured wrong. Other than that, it sounds like you had an AWESOME contractor, which is great! Now doesn't it make you sad to know that eventually, Wave Tec is going to screw him? Sad sad sad
  2. You've got all kinds of a ledge to stand on. Refuse to move your garden. We had a situation similar to this last year where a guy didn't want to move his deck, and we eventually let him out of the deal. Also, if you're the spouse, and both of you own your home, they cannot dig w/o your signature. Run far far away.

  4. right, so as I said check all the fittings and seams. Has any work been done ont he pool lateley? Check in those areas as well. Is the back of your light niche plugged? Might check that out and make sure there is a good seal. Get some goggles.
  5. no, but if you go to your local SCP (see yellowpages) they should be able to hook you up with one. It's a syringe with dark dye in it. You slowly make your way around all the pool fittings and seams and you should see it get sucked out around leaks....
  6. When I worked for Wave Tec, leaks were the most common problem. Go get yourself a dye test kit and dive your pool yourself. It's kinda fun, you learn. Go along the seams and, of course, your previous patch jobs. That will cost you about 15 bucks. Then if you cannot find it, let the pool leak down, and wherever it stops, there's your leak. Shouldn't hurt your pool as long as it doesn't drain all the way. Look for wet spots around the yard. You might have a plumbing leak. All things to consider before spending 400 on a diver.
  7. Oh, he's got money, that's true. But talking to him is a joke, he look uncomfortable in his own skin, his head is so large he looks like a lollipop, and he has ZERO social skills.
  8. Look deeply into my eyes! I am the one screwing you!!!
  9. There's one of him taking a picture of himself on the couch. It's quite hilarious.
  10. damn, you had me! Well, I'll tell you this much, I am currently in communications with a lawyer that was i believe retained by at least 1 person who really was screwed by WTP. i just began talking to him....really I just replied to his first e-mail to me. Hopfully something interesting will happen soon. Oh, but I will tell you this, the CEO of WTP just fired his COO (4th in 3 years) and also fired his director of construction! In the middle of July! His project managers are so overwhelmed that they are just worn down with no ability to build pools. Many of their accounts are on credit hold and no pools are being completed, or at least they are taking weeks and weeks to complete b/c the builders are all new and don't know what they're doing. It's a joke. In fact, if you want to see what Jason Herring looks like, you should look at the screen name IRONMAN123 on fitness-singles.com. That's him. Now if you see him at the grocery store or something, you can spit in his face.
  11. Propane is way more economical. A heater and heat pump do not do the same thing, and a company will sell you one knowing that you probably don't know the difference. I would go with a cartridge filter. Pretty easy to keep up while offering "good to fair" filtration. get a big name like pentair or hayward so that parts aren't an issue later. I know a few people with safety covers, and frankly, none of them use it. It's just a pain.
  12. It's my guess that he is trying to get the filter he has now to work properly. A clean and clear is a GREAT filter in my opinion, and can be fitted with a DE filter grid as well (as shown to me by their sales rep) but will cost you some serious cheese.
  13. Is the deck rising or is the ground settling? If settling is the problem, then same will help to some extent as it will not settle. However, I suggest getting some fill dirt, and compacting it around the edge. Fox pools are desigend to have a small gap called a thermal barrier between the ground and the deck, and it is especially important in your area. It allows the soil room to expand when it freezes. I'll contact you via e-mail this evening.
  14. I'm......really not sure what you're saying here. And if Camisa worked for wave tec, she wouldn't have bought one of their pools....
  15. I just took a look at that website and must admit that is new tech to me. You have a gunite? I know it's treating the symptoms and not the disease, but you might try some water clarifier. It will clump the minerals in your pool so that they become captured by the filter. As for the brown-yellow film, that should be able to be swept up into suspention and also filtered out. Could it be mustard algae?
  16. Sorry Camisa, you're thinking of Nate. This will be my last post however due to the fact that others are playing the guessing game trying to figure out who I am exactly and essentially trying to expose who I am. You all must understand that I'd like to remain anonymous due to the fact that WTP has actually brought a lawyer on staff (first off, I don't know of any other pool company w/ a full time lawyer. Interesting huh?) and I don't want to get tangled in a legal idiotfest. Truth be told, he can't do a thing to me, but I'd rather avoid it all together. My goal is simply to help those who got screwed, and to keep as many people from getting screwed as possible. So far, I've managed to steer 4 people away from WTP, costing Wave Tec sales, and boy that makes me feel good (Bitter? You think?). Anyways, Camisa, if I were you, I'd be concerned about footer on your pool. Your builder didn't put a footer under the stairs. So I had craig dig it up and pour one. But what about the rest of the pool? If memory serves, your builder was running short on concrete (he didn't have the $$$ to do it right) and so he cheated when pouring the footer. I would be willing to bet that your footer is no more then 2" thick in some places.....most likely in fact. What is going to happen is that footer is going to crack eventually and begin to shift. When this happens, your deck should also begin to lift, settle, and crack. That will be your first indication. It might be next month, and it might be in 10 years, but I'm sure you're going to still have problems with your pool's shape and deck b/c of the shotty footer. Good luck.
  17. You folks should understand that RustyC Might be a real person. Truthfully, I don't remember a single customer named Cox, and working their you hear every customer's name, so yeah, I think he's full of it. However, there are happy WTP customers out there, particularly the ones who were in the pipeline early this summer. There was one pool that was built in 2 days, 2 DAYS! The real tragedy about all the stories here is that Foxxx makes a good product. The problem is that WTP will hire anyone that can hold a shovel to build for them. "Huh? You install port-o-potties? Hell, that's just like a pool! Welcome aboard!" Sincerely, A guy who wants to steer as many people away from WTP as possible just so that Jason Herring cannot make any more money.....gutless slime.
  18. Poolfool How old is your pool and how long has it been leaking? If it's been leaking since the get go, then WTP should certainly address it. Do you know where it is leaking from? What's happening is water is moving pretty freely to cause that kind of thing, so I suspect the steps were not sealed correctly. Would you be willing to post your last name? That would probably tell me all I need to know. What I would do is call a company called American Leak Detection. They're great at finding leaks and will even patch them if they're small enough. They will do a dye test, pressure test (plumbing), and use their nifty equipment to detect leaks under the deck. I just got off the phone with Mike from El Paso. We had a good conversation though we didn't really have anything to say that the other didn't already know. unfortunately, since Jason Herring is such a vindictive SOB, I have to remain pretty anonymous. However if someone has a lawyer that wants to speak to me, I'd be glad to. Just get me their number. I don't know that I would help anyone sue the pants off WTP, but I'm willing to help any way I can. Hehee....chances are, most of you hate my guts b/c I've enforced the CEO's evil plans, sorry
  19. Mike Germano is quite good. There are rarely problems with his pools. Camisa's builder wasn't so hot, and if memory serves, he's no longer building for the company. I was personally involved in getting the repairs done on her pool and the builder used was one of my best. His name is Craig Masteller. I would suggest that you call local service companies to see if any of them will do work on a vinyl liner pools. Many of them simply do not. As far as decks cracking and whatnot, it is difficult to say if WTP will do anything about them seeing as it states in your contract that concrete is not covered. And to be fair, WTP nor the builder can be held responsible for many concrete issues. There are just too many uncontrollable variables. But if you want to get something done, just keep kicking and screaming, and despite the fact that WTP has been kicked out of 2 BBBs, keep complaining to them. The company will continuously try to get back into the BBB and will therefore still respond to issues. Otherwise you're looking at hiring a lawyer, and well, that's going to cost you some big $$$. Poolfool- What sort of liner issues are you having? There may be a fix that I can reccomend over draining, resetting, and refilling. Let me know and I'll do what I can to help. From working at that crooked company for so long, I've got to make up some karma points.
