  2. Do not put an ozone in that spa. The plumbing does not keep the ozone in contact with the water long enough to deplete it, so you get an ozone buildup under the cover that destroys the cover. You will replace your cover every couple of years and see no real help from the ozone. An ozone injection system needs a mazzei (venturi) in the water line followed by 30 or so feet of pipe before reaching the spa. Newer ones also have mixing chambers and/or gas off chambers.

  3. Wow, thanks for the advice and quick reply. I think we’ll pass on this one.

  4. You are likely to have gasket issues, as you said, which means leaks at the every jet and suction, as well as unions and pumps. And let's not forget valves. Shaft seals are probably bad too. Motors might be siezed up. Heater is almost certainly bad. Pressure switch is definitely bad. If it has a blower, that's going to scream like a banshee, if it runs at all. The controls might still work, but I wouldn't count on it. Relays that haven't fired in 10 years tend to stick. Used spa rule #1: See it running.

  5. It has only been a day but with the smaller impeller, the tub is up to temp and responds to the jets control. The air valves still don't work but I am thrilled that it is working as it was supposed to when I set it up! Thanks for all the help RDspaguy!
