Eric S Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 Hot Springs Sovereign Spa. NO heat. Heater relay board reads 250V w/ wires to heater disconnected. All lights OK if heater disconnected. LIM OK, Heator ON, Power red and solid. Heater itself reads 12ohms while disconneted. Within 2 minutes of reconnecting heater to relay board, Lim Ok light off, Heater light off, 0 Voltage at heater relay heater termianls and Power red light blinking. No fault heater without temp reset switch. Could this be a faulty pressure sensor inside heater unit? I assume I need to replace the no fault heater, even though I get a good 12ohms reading on it. Any help appreciated. Quote

Dan.The.Spa.Man Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 I noticed I dont have a pressure sensor on this heater, just the therm limit and therm reg. First make sure the filters are clean or just take them out all together and try to reset everything to see what happens. Has this spa been running all along and just quit or did you pick it up used or has anyone been messing with the control box? What year is it or what is the model number? Quote

Dan.The.Spa.Man Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 Pretty strange circumstances. What do you use for chemicals? I've seen some heaters become completely plugged up with calcium deposits from people who use "HTH Spa chlorine" from Walmart which is not good to use. If this is the case it would cause the heater to shut off. Quote
