1. Jacuzzi, Lexas LC ---> This is what i have....

7. Heater Type - 2" Stainless Flow Thru, 15" long

Ok... After a summer of sitting, I drained and filed it up and turned it on... it is heating really slow... prob a 1 deg an hour... it started off last night at 55 deg and it is now up to 76... I am getting voltage each leg of the heater... 120 on each. The odd thing is it looks like the heat is not switching on... Help?!?!

Update... it is finally up to 102....Why would this have taken sooooo long? It is not a gas spa... it is electric

1 Main pump 115V, 1 Waterway Circulation Pump

2 Jet Pumps (230V), one is 2 Speed, other is single speed

1 Sta-Rite P2-R 230V 2 Speed next to Gas Heater

Were you using the gas heater or the spas heater. If it was the spa heater that does seem a little slow but still within normal limits for some. What is the volts across both heater legs? From reading your post it looks like you were testing between nuetral and a leg one at a time. If the heater itself is only getting a total of 120 volts the KW rating is about half and will take longer to heat than a 230 volt heater. The best way to test in with a clamp on ammeter to measure current draw.

First off, thank you for replying to my post. I made a mistake on my first post, it should have stated it was electric for heating. i have updated it... Yep...i was only testing one leg at a time. Gotcha on the clamp on... Unfort, i do not have one... i have the one that has two probes... Any suggs or should i just go buy a clamp on and check it... ?

Clamp on would be best. Most volt meter with probes the current rating is to low and it will fry the meter
