demodan Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 Ok, we just moved in a house with an older Marquis model MQC 056136 inside it's own spa room and seems like it's in pretty good shape as it had limited use as the owner was not there for the last several years. It has the electromagnetic mechanical controls and was working ok until the last week when the GFI started tripping when you used the hi speed pump. Had a repairman look at it and suggested a spa pack. The motor is a 1 1/8 horse 120 volt and the spa is 240 volt with a blower. The unit that is on it has the timers for filtering and heating, so what would be a good replacement unit for this spa? I had the motor checked out and is in good working order, so any suggestion would be welcome. Thanks a million!! Quote
Dr. Spa Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 Personally? I'd suggest a repairman that knows how to fix things, rather then just replace them. Quote
demodan Posted November 11, 2009 Author Report Posted November 11, 2009 Thanks Dr.Spa. This is what he has suggested, only he didin't have to many ideas as when he left suggested what it needed. Maybe a second repairman? Quote
