Captain Jim Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 We go away often & always have problems with water quality when we come back so my spa guy recommended we switch from DiChlor to a floater with Bromine tablets in it. Do you think this will work? And do I continue to use all the other chemicals we have been using like Metal Magic, Shock, Gentle Spa and Alkalinity Up ? Quote
Hillbilly Hot Tub Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 We go away often & always have problems with water quality when we come back so my spa guy recommended we switch from DiChlor to a floater with Bromine tablets in it. Do you think this will work? And do I continue to use all the other chemicals we have been using like Metal Magic, Shock, Gentle Spa and Alkalinity Up ? Bromine will keep feeding in the tub while you are gone, so sometimes it is better for some people. Yes you would continue to use the other products. Bromine is just substituting for the di-chlor. Make sure to put enough bromine tablets in the floater to last till you get back and read the various posts about bromine so you get an understanding to how it works. It can be re-activated by shocking it unlike chlorine. Quote
