masteromorgan
I have the opportunity to buy a 2002 Cal Spa System Select Atlantic model. Sahara Quarite color (light grey base with dark grey/brown flecks ). It has a redwood skirt, full-foam insulation, deluxe hard cover with flip over assist bar, 49 jets, monster jets, dome jet with tornado, 1 set of quad blaster, 2 sets of neck jets, waterfall, cal quest ozone, 2-pumps, 2 filter system. They are asking $3,100 for it and it has had a new ozonator bulb put in it this past June. I would love to buy new as I just lost my old Hot Springs in a divorce. Wondering what your opinions are of this model, its reliability and use for a guy 6'1" and 220 lbs. I am going to wet test it later this week but thought that I would ask the "experts" for their comments. Thanks for your help!

Some 5 year old spas are ¾ of the way to the grave; others are merely ¼ the way. You really need to test it out (I'd open the equipment compartment to make sure its dry BEFORE wet testing) but my first thoughts are $3100 is high but again, in what condition. Hopefully he's listing it at that expecting you to haggle.
masteromorgan
I am glad that I asked. What else should I be looking for when determining if it is in good shape besides moisture in the equipment cabinet? What do you think a good offer would be on this tub?
