ClearWater
My ph is purple. How long do I need to wait to swim after adding dry acid to my Intex 16x4 pool? Thanks, Tracy
chem geek
Acid mixes very quickly so I would just retest the pH after about a half-hour (assuming you have good circulation, so have a floor drain in addition to a skimmer) and if the pH is in normal range (7.2 - 7.8), then you can swim. The acid addition is safe to swim in after only a few minutes, but the half-hour wait is to ensure mixing so that your next pH test is reasonable. ClearWater
Thank you, Chem Geek! It is amazingly hot here and was hoping not to be without the use of the pool for too long. Tracy
