Water Seepage?

We are building an in ground, gunite pool in Southeast Texas. Lots of sand and clay here. The excavators began the digging and hit water at about 7 feet. I was asked to truck in three truck loads of heavy clay, which I did, and I was asked to pump the water out of the hole, which I did.

The thing is, the hole fills up again by morning (actually, by nightfall) and I have to pump it twice a day to keep the water out. When the water level gets low, I can see the rivulets of water seeping in from all around the walls of the hole.

We are + 6 inches of rain this year. We are on high ground with no lakes close by. A few phone calls to some well drillers and I’m told the water table is at 25ish feet.

My question is, is this water just seepage and can I expect it to go away or could it be an underground spring? If it IS a spring, what can be done to remedy this? Must we dig another pool elsewhere?

I’m mostly looking for feedback so that I can talk to the pool builder with some degree of understanding.

Get a specialist and determine if it is an underground spring. Then forget the pool, and sell the water in bottles or pipe it to the water starved southeast for a heafty profit. Then buy your neighbor's house . . . buy your whole neighborhood and build an olymic pool, or just build a water park and fill it with your spring water. That's what I would do. Maybe there's oil under there pressuring the water out!!!

On a scary note, maybe they hit a water main and put a leak in it. Maybe they hit a sewer!

Hmmmmm...I was looking for something more tangible. We own everything you can see in all directions. We're also in the sticks, no codes, no underground lines, no sewers, etc. No oil either; darn it! I was just wondering what sign I could look for that would tell me the source of the water?

Maybe your well has a leak in the pipe and it is feeding in that direction? Is your well nearby?
