In The Bubble
Hi all, We're new to the forum and hope that we can get some advice on wiring our Hot Springs Sovereign II. We are comfortable with hooking the 50Amp breaker from our electrical service and to the GFCI 30/20 amp sub panel that the provider gave us. The question is in the hookup from the Sub Panel to the spa controls. Is the standard practice to run individual wires thru the 3/4" Water tight flex conduit or instead a couple runs of 3 lead and 2 lead Romex thru and then making the hookups. The former option seems the most efficient considering the need to have color matches to the diagrams. Also, nowhere do I see mention if I need solid wire or strand (thhn?) wire. Any advice? Thanks, Darren and Laura
Chas
You should run conduit - raintite - and pull individual wires. A pair of 10 ga. wires, three 12 ga. wires, and the ground wire. I recommend solid, but stranded will work.
