Gulf Coast Spas - Aafes Prices

Hi everyone,

I'm in the market for a Spa. I've got a lower budget here. I had a couple sales pitches through PM (please stop that - say it here or don't say it at all).

I saw a new site where I think I can get some good prices. As a former military member, I have access to AAFES which is the air force's "store".

They sell Gulf Coast Spaas for what I think is pretty cheap prices!

For example, the LX 11000 is $6400

The DX 5000 is $4239

LX 7000 is $5229

Are these good prices? i was thinking about doing Costco's Discover Aura brand but is this a better brand spa?

The prices you quoted are not good prices. Decent pricing for those spas would be around LX11000 $5,500, LX7000 $4,600, DX5000 $3,900. Expect to pay more for service and heating with these spas. You may pay travel fees for service calls, as the service company does not cover them after 30 days from delivery. Also, many dealers are not even authorized to do warranty service on these spas, so be sure to ask if they will provide service.

If I am correct, you won't pay sales tax on the spa through the AAfes. That would help save some of the cost for you. If you go of post then you will pay the sales tax and that has to be added to the cost of the spa in total. I would also call gulf coast spa and ask who will service your spa and also verify the warranty. I was told I had a crappy warranty on my Costco P.E. II and was given bad advice so I am glad I checked with the manufacture to get it straight. Good luck yo you on your spa search, have fun and enjoy!
