Coast Spas - Purchase Recomendation

Our family has finally beaten me into submission on the Hot Tub Purchase and we are leaning towards a Coast Spas Extreme. Mainly because it is the right size and they have a deal on a 05 model they need to move. My only concern is that I cant find ANY reference to their reputation on any of these boards. The Sundance Spas and many others get a lot of endorsements and I really like their tubs but the local dealer has NOTHING for 4-6 weeks. They have a good web site and seem reputable but this is a lot of money. Here is the link to their site.

Anyone with relevant experience with this brand please post a reply. I just dont want to buy this think and it be a lemon. It has some cool features like the Ice Box, Led Lights, Lots of Jets, and the price seems right. Please post and let me know what you all think. I would REALLY appreciate it.

Do you really want a presurized filter? Have you actually tested the seats? They are among the most uncomfortable in the industry. Go to Pool and Spa.com and check them out. A cheap tub at a premium price.

Cool site?? What major manufacturer doesn't have one. You're asking about Quality but ice coolers and throwing in as many jets as you can has nothing to do with quality (and I'd skip the stereo options myself). Below are links to other manufacturers and they all have cool links and all have good reputations. I've seen a few posts relative to Coast and they seem to come through 50/50. Take a look at multiple options and so you have a basis for comparison (these links are directly to their dealer locator sections where you can find out who is local to you).

My father-in-law owns a coast spa and has had no problems in the 2 years he has owned it. I'm not sure of the model he has, but it is an 8' with no lounger and no major options (just ozone, but no stereo or fancy razzle-dazzle "junk" as i like to call it). The dealer here is very reputable having been in the pool and spa industry for a very long time (not sure how long exactly for the spa end). I personally own an Arctic spa and prefer the seats and jets in mine, but the coast spa my in-laws have is pretty good, just didn't make the final cut in my buying decision for personal reasons. Maybe do some research on your local dealer and see if there are any complaints filed with the better business bureau, as you can do with dealers of any brand tub. Price compare to other brands with similar features and don't be afraid to haggle, especially on extras. And like was stated in other posts, i'd stay away from the cool features like Ice Box, etc . . . the L.E.D.'s are cool, but you can get a cool light that changes colours for around 30 bux, and the more "junk" you have the more there is to worry about breaking, keep it simple. You can get a cheap beer fridge and mount it outside near the tub if you want that, or a cooler for the amount you will end up using it in the long run. Hopefully this has helped you out a bit.

I really like the artic tubs. I prefer artic over coast because of the double lounger side to side and the jet design. Also when I sat in an artic it was very compfortable. I like the idea of the forever floor like Colemans ABS
