positronus Posted May 26, 2023 Report Share Posted May 26, 2023 I have 18'x33' above ground pool with 1.5 GPM pump and cartridge filter. My neighbor is closing his inground pool permanently and getting rid of his pool heater Raypack 336 BTU. I want to add this heater to my system, but not sure above pipe size. My current setup uses 1" flex hoses, I can change it to 1.5" PVC schedule 40 piping, but the pool heater has 2" pipe receivers on input and output. Can I reduce input and output piping for pool heater to 1.5"? Can this kind of pool heater work in above ground pool setup? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
